At times, life presents us with challenges that feel both intricate and inescapable. Perhaps you’ve found yourself grappling with patterns or emotions that seem difficult to name or even harder to change. There can be moments when you feel adrift, disconnected – not only from others, but maybe even from the core of who you are. These inner struggles can feel like a maze with no clear exit, making it difficult to chart the course alone. The weight of not fully understanding ourselves or feeling misunderstood can be paralyzing. I believe that with time, support, and understanding a way forward eventually reveals itself.
My approach is grounded in the belief that healing begins with understanding – understanding your own story, your past, and the patterns that have shaped your present. It’s not about “fixing” something that’s broken but about uncovering the layers of complexity that shape who you are. Through compassionate, thoughtful collaboration, I aim to help make sense of the emotional and psychological landscape that often feels overwhelming. Together, we’ll explore these challenges, cultivate resilience, and navigate the deeper currents of your experience, so that you can move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and self-awareness.
A bit about me: I grew up in Clearwater, Florida, where I first developed an appreciation for the beauty of quiet reflection and nature’s complexity. My path led me from Florida to Texas, where I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Texas Christian University, and now to Denver, where I’m pursuing my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Walden University. Over the years, my experiences at the Eating Recovery Center and Cirque Lodge have given me invaluable insight into the complexities of addiction, trauma recovery, and emotional healing. These experiences have shaped my belief that the work of therapy is both an art and a science, requiring not just intellectual understanding but deep empathy, patience, and an unwavering commitment to the process. Outside of my work, I find balance and inspiration in music (particularly playing the banjo), outdoor adventures, and the company of those I hold dear. These passions shape the way I approach therapy: grounded in curiosity, rich with depth, and constantly evolving.
