More About Naomi Akwei-Sturdy

Hi, I’m Naomi Akwei-Sturdy. I am originally from the UK, but am now based in Denver, CO. With over two decades of counseling experience, I bring a compassionate and integrative approach to therapy. My foundation is in Gestalt therapy, but I also incorporate Person-Centered Therapy, CBT, and DBT to tailor treatment to your unique needs. My training includes completing programs at The Gestalt Center of Counseling and Psychotherapy in London, earning an MA in Intercultural Group Therapy from the University of London, and later obtaining an MSC in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University after relocating to the U.S.

Throughout my career, I’ve worked with individuals facing a wide range of challenges, including sexual trauma, substance abuse, anxiety, depression, cultural identity issues, bipolar disorder, adoption and attachment concerns, and borderline personality disorder. I am passionate about providing a safe, collaborative space where we can explore your experiences and create a path toward healing and growth. Whether in individual or group therapy, I focus on meeting you exactly where you are and helping you uncover the tools to achieve your therapeutic goals.

I recently joined Mindfully to continue my mission of offering comprehensive mental health care. I believe in the power of connection and collaboration in the healing process, and I am here to support you in navigating life’s challenges with confidence and resilience. If you’re ready to take the next step, I would be honored to work with you on your journey toward a healthier and more fulfilling life.
